How To Deliver A Best Man Speech For Your Brother

Your brother is getting married and he has chosen you to be his best man. By doing so he has placed a huge responsibility on your shoulders. Not only will you help him in the wedding but you will also deliver the best man speech. Always remember that the best man speech you deliver will ring in your brother’s ears for years to come to come not only that but people will also measure the relationship of your entire family based on your speech.

You will obviously want to make a lasting impression on the hearts of everyone present. There is no sure shot way of delivering a best man speech in a proper and memorable way. The only thing you need to remember is to stick to originality.

First make sure that you have a set time limit. Weddings are a time for everyone to make speeches and as the best man; even you will have a set amount of time at your disposal. So co-ordinate with the wedding planner and get it right.

You can start off with congratulating the newlyweds on their wedding. You can also thank your brother for choosing you as the best man. It goes a long way in showing your appreciation.

After that, thank all the people who have attended the wedding, thank those too who have helped out in the wedding in any which way. People like to be thanked so make sure you do that. Some of the people have traveled a long distance to be here appreciating that.

Talk about all the positive aspects of your brother, how he is rock of your family or how everyone turns to him in times of need and want.

Since you have grown up together, you both will no doubt be very close to each other. So draw inspiration from this. Recount tales from your childhood, the emotional stories, the funny ones, the not so emotional ones. Anything which holds some meaning in your life can be mentioned.

You can thank your brother for all the things he has done for you, how he has stood up for you and how much he means to you.

Praise the bride. She is the newest addition to your family, make her feel welcome. Let her know how much your brother adores her. You can even congratulate your brother on his excellent choice in choosing a bride, talk about how beautiful her eyes are etc.

You can even talk about your brother’s journey with the bride. How they met, how they fell in love etc.

End by wishing the couple all the luck in the world and wish them a happy married life.
